Pomerol, the home of the most expensive and luxurious wine in the world.
Exclusive bottle of Petrus wine, ultra-unique and true vintage.
The hype around the famous Petrus Pomerol is still not clear, but they do have the most impressive and expensive wines in the world. The Petrus Wine is one of the favorite wines of the Hollywood celebrities and Chateau Petrus is one of the most respected wineries with luxurious premium vintage wine.
As Bordeaux wine regions go, Pomerol is deceptively modest. They are not all Châteaux like Medoc, it's even not a picturesque tourist destination like Saint Émilion and it hasn’t implemented a classification system. So there is no such thing as Chateau Petrus. Yet, it’s the home of the most expensive wine in the world. Own or gift one of the most amazing wine bottles in the world.

What Pomerol does have that other regions do not, is layers of matchless, impenetrable, blue clay subsoils under a limestone crust. At Château Petrus, the region’s premier property, these soils allow Merlot to reach its most sumptuous and alluring expression in wines that sell for more than Bordeaux First Growth prices. For the 2012 vintage of Château Petrus (if you can find it) you’d pay between $1,600.00 and $1,900.00 a bottle! There are more affordable Pomerol wines to be had, though this is not the land of the daily quaff. The whole appellation profited following the 1982 vintage when critic Robert Parker handed out the first in a series of stratospheric wine reviews of Château Petrus. It’s hard to believe that for centuries Pomerol was considered no better than a Saint Émilion satellite region. (Vivino)
